Goa — Friend’s get together

In today’s busy life we tend to forget about the people who were with us in our best and worst time during our college/school times. To cope up with this problem of life, my friends (whom I already mentioned in early blogs) came up with the idea to meet up at the partying capital of India i.e. Goa.

Though this wasn’t our first visit to Goa. But, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Let me jot down the trip experience.

History

Every year Shwetank, Siddhartha, Siddhant and Siddharth Seth plan for the trip. Every time we had a chat all we could do is a nag about the tiresome life and have a get-together, just like old times. In order to make this happen, all come with the consensus to meetup in Goa.

Trip Commencement (Day — 1)

As we already traveled most of the goa during our last visits. So the main agenda of our visit to goa was to chill, get suntanned and most of all visit places which were left. Everyone was really excited about the trip and boarded the flight to Goa from their respective places.

We all reached our destination and from there we move to our hostel (Happy Panda Hostel) which was situated in Arambol.

Beach Exploration and Fort (Day — 2)

We started our day with the most important meal of the day (breakfast) and started exploring Arambol and Harmal Beach. The sun was at the top of our head and we wanted to make the most of the day. So, we rented 2 scooters and were off to Chapora Fort (Dil Chahta Hai Fort).

The view from the fort was quite exquisite. But, we wanted to explore the restricted area which was guarded by the metal door. We surpassed that gate and after some kilometers of walk Voila!
On our right was Morjim Beach, on our left was Vagator Beach and in front of us was the sea. We all stayed there for a while captured the moments and were off too Morjim Beach to watch the sunset. The day was over but we had to make our bookings for the next spot which was Dudhsagar Fall.

Dudhsagar Fall (Day — 3)

It was a new day, we already booked the cab which arrived at 5 am.
We reached our destination around 8:30 am. Booked a 4X4 as the fall was located inside Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. We were back from the fall around 2 pm and chilled out at Arambol Beach.

Trek to Querim Beach (Day — 4)

This was a free day for us so we thought why not explore other beaches. Trek to the querim beach is almost 4 km one way. But via road, this distance is almost 9–10 km. If you love trekking you might love this particular trail as there are someplace where you need to decide among the two trail choices and both of them lead to the awesome places. That’s how we found Rock Beach on our way to querim.

Panjim and Homecoming (Day — 5)

It’s the last day of our trip and we decided to go Panjim. We were thinking of going to the casino and the cruise. But, we arrived really late at Panjim due to which we weren’t able to go to any of the places. We only decided to walk our way around Panjim and we flew to our respective cities.

Conclusion

Some of the tips to survive goa:-
-> Use buses/hire a bike or car to move around Goa as the taxi are really expensive.
-> If you are in a group of 6–7 then only plan for going to Dudhsagar Fall else it’s not worth it. It will be a lot of expense for a group of 4 people.
-> Shacks are highly overpriced if you wanna experience dining at the beach it’s fine else opt for a local restaurant around you.
-> Book hostel or Airbnb if you are going on the month of Jan/Feb. That’s when you can have real fun of goa and crowd will be far less as compared to December.
