Kodaikanal — Princess of Hill stations
Every quarter 91Springboard organizes the members trip, last time they took us to Coorg which was amazing and this time the destination was Kodai.
It was quite some time, people in springboard were asking questions to the community managers that when the members trip is gonna happen, because I had crazy fun time previously.
Then, one day Vijay announced that member’s trip would be from 26th Apr. ’19–28th Apr. ’19 and the venue was Kodaikanal.
Journey to the destination
The excitement began as the day was passing by and then 26th Apr. ’19 (D-Day) arrived. All the members were supposed to join at the 91Springboard Koramangala office at 10 pm. This time the crowd was huge they manage to get the strength of 40–50 members. The journey began since Kodaikanal is around 500 km from Bangalore we started early as we had to reach the destination and start exploring the city as much as we can, we reached destination around noon. Although, I had a great conversation with a couple of people who were with me on the last trip and some of the new members who were traveling to the destination.
Vattakanal Falls and Bonfire Party
We had our lunch and went on a hiking trip to fall. It was a bit far from the place where we were staying but the whole journey was just beautiful. Everyone got a good photograph to get themselves socially validated that they went to Kodaikanal.
After a hiking trip, people were tired but I was eagerly waiting for the Bonfire Party to begin as that is where people go crazy.
Logs had been cast, fire is all lit now, all that left was people to gather around and start the fun activities. Since we were not introduced to each other before the trip started, Vijay made it a fun activity to let everyone get introduced to each other around the bonfire. The game was simple you have to make a circle a person will start and when your turns come you’ve to speak the name of all the person before you and then your name, which was tough as the person who was last was Prabhnoor (urf Paaji) who have to take the name of all the members. Spoiler Alert he did it without any trouble.
Then, we had other game and which ended in the most deadly game ever been introduced to me “The Witch”.
After, getting sloshed I just head to my respective room where I hugged my pillow and slept like a drunken baby.
Kodaikanal Lake and journey back to home
We head early this morning and head to see Kodaikanal lake which is just huge and it’s there right in the center of the city.
People ride cycle which was given on rent but I walked all around the lake which came to the point where the question was “Did we reach the point where we started?”.
Reaching the origin point we started traveling back to home. Since there was no fun activity going on the bus while we were traveling to Kodai, Paaji and I took the liberty to become the entertainment for the journey back to home.
Conclusion
It was a fun trip which was again pulled off by none other than Mr. Vijayraj. I would also like to thanks the springboard crew which was also there making this a memorable trip and last but not the least our one and only photographer Abhishek Raj, who made it possible for people to get socially validated on all the social networking platform.
